HELP

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about Finantzak, its plans and your data.

Is Finantzak secure and private?

Finantzak protects your data through encrypted communications and access controls. We do not sell your financial data or send advertisers your balances, transactions, accounts, budgets, categories or text. Essential providers, such as hosting, payments and advertising in the free version, may process technical data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Does it connect to my banks automatically?

No. Finantzak does not currently connect directly to banks. You record and control the accounts and transactions you want to manage.

What does Premium include?

Premium includes personal cloud storage, cross-device sync, web access, backups, file storage, data recovery, and shared-workspace creation and administration.

What can I do for free?

Free works exclusively on-device in the mobile app. You can manage accounts, transactions, categories, budgets and other tools on your device, without personal cloud storage, personal sync or web access.

Can a Free user participate in a shared workspace?

Yes. As the only exception to local-only operation, they can sync a shared workspace in the app while it is sponsored by an active Premium owner. This does not enable personal cloud storage, personal files or web access.

What happens if the owner of a shared workspace loses Premium?

When Premium expires, the workspace is frozen read-only for all members for 30 days. During that period, the owner may reactivate Premium or transfer ownership to an active Premium member who explicitly accepts it. If neither happens, the workspace is deleted from the cloud when the period ends.

Toby, included in Premium

Ask about your personal Finantzak records and get help understanding them. Toby uses the information you authorise, without making you copy all your records into another chat.

  • How much have I spent on groceries this month?
  • Find yesterday’s expense so I can review its details.
  • What would change if I saved another 50 euros?

Example queries, not guaranteed results. Toby requires Internet access, consent and available quota. Simulations depend on your records and assumptions. It does not automatically connect to your banks or move real money.

Website updates

Changes published on this website. Android versions have their own distribution; a website improvement does not mean an app update.

Clearer plans and access

The comparison shows what you can do for free and what Premium includes, with Toby examples. Premium access explains how to subscribe on Android and use the same account on the web.

Interactive demo with sample data

Explore Home, Transactions and Accounts from the homepage without creating an account. The data is fictional and Toby’s chat is labelled as a simulation; the demo does not save real records.

A simple routine for organising your money

Start with one account and a known balance

Choose an account you want to track, such as your bank account or the cash you carry. Enter a balance you can check, then record income and expenses from that date. Finantzak organises the information you enter: it does not connect automatically to your bank or move real money. You do not need to import your entire financial history to begin. A small set of checked records is more useful than a long history you have not reviewed.

Classify and review before drawing conclusions

Use categories to distinguish everyday purchases, bills and other expenses. Check dates and amounts and keep transfers between your own accounts separate: moving money does not create new income or spending by itself. For a credit card, distinguish what you owe from the funds available to you. If you share records with other people, first check the workspace they belong to and the permissions each participant has.

Plan for payments that have not arrived yet

Use category budgets to compare spending with your plan. Record recurring payments and check the calendar for upcoming commitments. Annual insurance or a renewal may require a reserve even when it does not appear every month. These tools help you organise and represent your decisions; they do not pay bills, block purchases or guarantee savings. Review the plan when your income or commitments change, rather than treating a projection as an existing balance.

Choose the access you need

You can start on Android with the Free plan and local storage. Premium enables personal sync and web access, subject to its conditions and availability. Creating an account does not purchase a subscription. Before changing plans, read the current conditions and check where your data is stored. The guides offer examples for reviewing expenses, budgets, subscriptions and annual payments. The frequently asked questions explain privacy and access, and the contact page provides a route to support if you need help.
